I feel nervous about how our 3D structure will actually turn out, because one little mistake could mess up the entire model. It seems easy to use, but we don't really have experience with Tinkercad before, and I feel like we don't know some of the little mistakes to look for. I feel like we have figured out Howe to do some of the basic things though, and I feel like me and Connor just need to colobarate and try and work well together on this project. I'm not really sure how we are going to work without one person doing all the work one day, because it's only on one computer but hopefully we will find a way that work

Technology has a huge impact on our modern day society. I feel like one of te biggest age groups technology affects, is the youth and specifically, teens. It's hard growing up at a teen and trying to find yourself, with all of the different values, opinions, and medias full acess to you. It can be overwhelming, trying to base your social life around an instagram feed, and constantly comparing yourslef to those around you. One of the negative effects of technology, is that teens can not only see everything they are invited to, but everythign they aren't invited to. I feel like this creates a lot of conflict and fighting. But, in the world where technology is so easy to use, and with us everywhere, you are sure to see a snapchat or instagram spam post, tweet, or picture taken anytime you and a friend, or a group of friends hang out. This leads to many hurt feelings, of those not included, and gives teens more opportunities to be petty, by sometimes hurting poeple by passive aggressivly not including them on purpose.
Technology also has many positive effects though. It helps you reconnect with old frinds, and keep friendships alive throug texting, facetime, and social media if you don't have time to see each other every day. It also gives you acess to advice and help if you need your friends, during anytime of the day! Technology yes, has hurtful impacts to our society, but I think the benifts outweigh the downfalls, and society has made our world a better place. Words are very powerfully, convincing, and tricky. Words can also be twisted Tom make people believe things that have a little bit of truth, but nit the whole truth. In animal farm, snowball uses words to twist the seven commandments, an make putting the pigs in superiority seem ok. He twists the truth and the other naimals believe his deceptions. In the wave, the teacher slowly Gina the kids perspectives and making them conform to the group. It shows how easy words can influence others, especially if they are uneducated or unsure of their identity yet.
Define war: war is a strong, violent disagreement between two groups and it causes a lot of mental damage, physical damage, and damage on families.
War can be peace depriving, or it can be peace bringing. You are destroying the same thing you are fighting for in the end. What we dont realize is, how PTSD can really stay with a soldier forever, and that it's more com,on that we think. I feel like even soldiers that don't suffer from Post traumatic stress disorder, still have those feelings deep inside and it could come out. regardless of what we think about it, I think we should respect everyone who had a soldier in their lives, because not just the soldier makes the sacrifice for our country, their families and friends do too. War changes us us by making us realize how grateful we should be for what the soldiers fight for, and how we take a lot for granted. I think it brings us to reality, and humbles us. The circle of friends coming and visiting, was a really neat thing. I found it inspiring that the kids, and the kids parents were so open about their adversity, and sharing their stories. I like how easygoing they were, and how they said it was ok to ask why the kids were different.

Ms.Greenlaw GT/PAP English February 10th 2017 You’re balancing on the box of your pointe shoes, ponytail whipping side to side, as you execute drills, in your dance class. Your ballet teacher yells, “legs higher” over the music flowing from the speakers. You tighten your muscles, and grit your teeth, fighting the leg cramp as you lift your leg, trying to match it to an 180 degree angle next to your head. Sweat drips down your face, as you concentrate on getting this right. Pointe is mental, just as much as physical. Dancers are hard training athletes, and elements such as balance, strength, coordination, stamina, muscle building, and stretching are what make dance a sport. Let's look at the definition of a sport. A sport is, “an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others” (Abrams par.1). Dance can be just for fun, a recreational hobby, a serious passion, or a professional career. What many people are unaware of is the intense, “competitive dance world” (Abrams par.3). Much like gymnastics, dance competitions are judged by a panel of three to four judges, that determine the scores, and winners of every division, “based off strict guidelines” (Abrams par. 7) In competitions, you can compete solo, as a team, in a small group, etc., and you are categorized in a division, based off hours of training a week, age, and ability. Just like many other sports, for example baseball and soccer, dance competitions offer scholarships to nationals around the country, if the judges see something in you as an individual, or team. Dance is just like other team sports, with added hairspray, rhinestones, and lipstick. The standards of having a sharp mentality, synchronization, and perfection in the dance world are exceptionally high. In comparison to other sports, there is just as much pressure to succeed, and to commit to what you’re doing, if not more. You are surrounded by mirrors when practicing, and constantly have to adjust and correct every little detail and muscle placement while rehearsing. As I mentioned earlier, the metal demand in dance is just as intense as the physical demands. Stellar memory, being able to reverse everything on the left and the right, and having focus are all all key aspects to a successful practice. Dance is a “non-verbal communication” with the audience, and the emotion you have to recall to be able to connect with the audience, pushes and challenges your mind a lot. (World Dance Sport Federation par.7) This beautiful combination of mind and body working together, is what makes this sport so beautiful, and unique. The physical demands and athleticism that dance requires from your body, is intense. “Dancers bodies are pushed to the limits” as they are conditioned, overstretched, and drilled over long, daily rehearsals. (Dance Consortium par. 2). The sport combines elements such as, cardiovascular fitness, stamina, agility, and strength. Injuries happen in dance too, and some can be devastating. With all the wear and tear,, your pain tolerance has to be fierce, as you withstand what dance does to your body. Making it look easy, is all an illusion, and all part of the performance. The lifestyles of dancers, are just the same as other athletes. They must have healthy self discipline, and the right diet and nutrition to sustain their bodies, build muscle, and be fit. The powerful technical elements, as well as strong emotion, and physical demands take dance from an art, and truly elevate it to a sport in our day and time. Lets as a culture, embrace dance as a sport, and as a society, respect dancers as true athletes. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Works Cited Abrams, Paige.
